The Rise of Skywalker on Digital Download and Some Behind the Scenes Photos
Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker has been released early on your favorite digital download service! I downloaded Episode 9 from iTunes and watched it over the weekend. I was eager to watch it as I really enjoyed seeing it in theaters and wished I could’ve seen it more times. Now that I have it at home, I can watch whenever I want! The DVD/Blu-Ray/4K release will be in a couple of weeks (if you can wait that long!) on March 31st.
There have also been some Behind the Scenes photos released from Lucasfilm via the website, Buzzfeed. You can see the photos above, there are some black and white as well as some in color. Most of the photos show JJ Abrams directing members of the cast in various scenes. Check out Buzzfeed for the photos. There are a couple of black and white photos that are interesting to me. The black and white photo of General Hux and General Pryde on Mustafar is a good one. This leads us to believe they shot some scenes on Mustafar with Kylo Ren as he is looking for the Sith Wayfinder aka Sith Holocron. Also the black and white photo of Rey sitting on the Sith Throne. Now this could just be Rey and JJ goofing around and saying “What if?”, or could it be that initially there was some talk of Rey actually giving in to the Dark Side? Either way it’s fun to speculate.
